Job Description

Preferred candidates from Real Estate Construction Industry

Department: Construction
Reports to: Head – Projects
Location: Corporate Office, Anna Nagar, Chennai 600040.
Experience Required: 4–8 years (site execution and coordination experience preferred)
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Job Purpose:

To coordinate, monitor, and support day-to-day civil project activities across sites, ensuring timely execution, quality, and cost control while acting as a bridge between project sites, vendors, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination and Execution

  • Assist Project Manager in planning and scheduling construction activities.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Track project progress and highlight bottlenecks or delays.

2. Site Supervision and Quality

  • Monitor work execution as per drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Ensure quality checks and adherence to approved materials and methods.
  • Assist in conducting inspections and audits as required.

3. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain site records, daily progress reports, and work logs.
  • Assist in preparing measurement sheets, bills, and contractor work certifications.
  • Compile reports for management on timelines, costs, and resource utilization.

4. Vendor and Resource Coordination

  • Follow up with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate manpower deployment and ensure productivity.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and tools at site.

5. Safety and Compliance

  • Support implementation of site safety and environmental policies.
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance at project sites.
  • Report safety incidents and assist in corrective actions.

6. Liaison and Communication

  • Act as a communication link between the project team, consultants, and management.
  • Participate in site review meetings and provide inputs on progress and issues.
  • Address technical queries and escalate matters as needed.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Sound knowledge of civil construction methods, drawings, and standards.
  • Good planning, coordination, and follow-up skills.
  • Basic understanding of contracts, billing, and measurement procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in real estate, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Ability to work in site conditions and manage multiple stakeholders.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
