Job Purpose:
To lead and oversee the execution of all civil construction activities at the project site, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and cost control in alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise and monitor day-to-day site civil works including RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishing works.
- Ensure all activities are executed as per approved GFC drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.
- Plan and coordinate work sequences with subcontractors and internal teams to achieve project milestones.
- Verify workmanship and material quality at every stage of construction.
- Ensure alignment and levels are maintained according to architectural and structural drawings.
2. Project Planning & Coordination
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly execution plans in coordination with the planning team.
- Coordinate with design, MEP, finishing, and procurement teams to avoid execution delays.
- Monitor progress against schedules and highlight potential delays with corrective action plans.
- Participate in coordination meetings with consultants, architects, and clients for site-related discussions.
3. Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and specifications at every stage of work.
- Coordinate with the Quality Engineer for inspection of shuttering, reinforcement, and concrete works.
- Maintain proper documentation of checklists, cube test reports, and inspection requests (IRs).
- Implement best practices to maintain construction quality and minimize rework.
4. Resource & Cost Management
- Manage and monitor utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery efficiently.
- Forecast material requirements and raise indent requests in time.
- Minimize wastage of construction materials and maintain cost control measures.
- Supervise subcontractor performance and verify their work measurements for billing.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all site safety norms, PPE usage, and statutory compliances are strictly followed.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for site teams.
- Report and record any incidents or near misses promptly.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily progress reports (DPRs) and weekly MIS updates for management review.
- Maintain detailed site records, including work progress, hindrances, and material reconciliation.
- Support billing and quantity teams with accurate site measurements.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of building construction methods and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
- Knowledge of IS codes and real estate construction standards.
