B.E. / B. Tech Civil Engineering (Mandatory)

M.E. / M.Tech. Structural Design Engineering (Desirable)

Work Experience:

Overall, >13 years of experience in oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Green Energy, Hydrogen Energy industry in Pre-FEED through to EPC / Detail Engineering / Proposal / Concept for Greenfield / Brownfield Projects. A self-motivated, proactive individual with high achievement drive and initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organizational awareness

Membership of a recognized professional institute preferred.

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for entire FEED/EPC/Proposal work not limited to Civil BOQ, Budget Control, Planning of C&S Deliverables conforming to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Clients policies and procedures.
• Prepare & Review the Civil & Structural specifications, Project Standard as per Contract requirements, Standard design requirements, Design Engineering and TPL Standard.
• Review of Documents and drawings submitted by External Structural design Consultant / fabricators, Geotech Consultant as per Design basis report / Contract / Project requirements/Company Std as assigned.
• Prepare and review RFQ & report for Geotechnical investigation, Topographic Survey, Hardstand.
• Design & Review with Staad/SAP/ETABS of all structures including buildings (SS,SRR,Control) with Blast resistance, shelters, equipment (Vessel, Exchangers, Process column, reactor, Drums, tank), Pipe-racks, equipment skids, Dynamic foundation (Static/Rotating) , Drain(OWS,CRWS,ABD.CBD,Sanitry) Pits, Connection Deign, FEM, site grading / earth works including rough and final grading plans, Roads, paving, grading layouts and details, Gate and fencing layouts and details.
• Coordination - co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, Pre-Commissioning, and start-up. Further, addressing all the comments raised by client/consultants and obtaining all necessary approvals in a timely manner.
• Review and analysis the BOQ provided by third party during EPC & Proposal stage by consultant and Identifying opportunities and chasing design optimizations.
• Liaise with Designers in the preparation of CAD drawings, civil drawings using, MicroStation, Smart plant 3D, E3D, AutoCAD, PDMS, PDS, Tekla etc.
• Shall prepare & review the technical documentation for civil subcontracts, technical comparison table of third party (Geotechnical, Structural, Topographical, Fabricator, vendors) offers.
• To monitor execution phase Civil BOQ, compare with proposal phase Civil BOQ, analyze deviations and prepare a register of the quantities variations.
• Proactive and effective communication among the project team.
• To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
• To provide relevant knowledgeable practical skills in the response and actions for Site visits and site surveys, Site queries and discussions, Supplier, vendor, contractor, client and site related discussions and Site based activities.
• Familiar with latest code IS (456,800,875,1893,13920,3370), BS5950, BS8110, ASCE-07, ACI-318, AISC-ASD/LRFD, AWS, API, UBC 97, IBC Code, PIP standards.
• Knowledge for finalization of concept for the foundation design (Pile foundation or Open foundation) for the project along with the study of Geotechnical parameters submitted by the soil investigation team.
• Knowledge of Modules Analyses for Lifting, Transportation & in-place.
