About Us

Studio Underground is a creative production house that specializes in ad films, documentaries, corporate videos, and digital content. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Cinematographer who has a strong visual style, understands storytelling, and can bring cinematic vision to life through camera and lighting.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the director and creative team to understand the visual goals of each project.
• Plan and execute shots, camera angles, movements, and lighting setups for high-quality video production.
• Operate camera equipment on set and ensure technical excellence in framing, exposure, and focus.
• Lead and coordinate with the camera crew, gaffer, grip, and other technical team members.
• Scout locations for lighting and shooting suitability.
• Maintain and manage camera, lenses, lighting, and other equipment.
• Ensure footage meets the intended creative and technical standards.
• Keep up with the latest trends and technologies in cinematography and camera gear.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cinematographer or Director of Photography.
• Strong portfolio or showreel showcasing diverse work (commercials, films, documentaries, etc.).
• Proficient with professional camera systems (RED, Blackmagic, Sony, Canon, etc.).
• Solid understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel and shoot on-location as per project requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in both studio and outdoor shooting.
• Knowledge of post-production workflow and color grading is a plus.
• Drone operating skills (with license) will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with storyboarding and shot-list preparation tools.
