Chrome Extension Engineer

As a Chrome Extension Engineer with 5+ years of experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Chrome extensions that align with business needs. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Chrome extensions that align with business needs. - Working with Chrome Extension APIs such as background scripts, content scripts, messaging, storage, permissions, etc. - Optimizing extensions for performance, security, and scalability. - Implementing Manifest V3 compliance and ensuring extensions meet Chrome Web Store policies. - Integrating extensions with external APIs and backend services. - Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in existing Chrome extensions. - Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create seamless user experiences. - Keeping up to date with the latest trends in Chrome extension development and browser technologies. Qualifications required for this role include: - 5+ years of experience in Chrome extension development. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. - Hands-on experience with Chrome Extension APIs and Manifest V3. - Experience with React, Vue.js, or other frontend frameworks is a plus. - Familiarity with OAuth, WebSockets, IndexedDB, and other web technologies. - Knowledge of security best practices related to Chrome extensions. - Experience with testing, debugging, and publishing extensions on the Chrome Web Store. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
