Job Title:

Job Summary:

Chinese Chef

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, noodles, dumplings, soups, and traditional entrees.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning of all meals served.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the kitchen.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and update menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences.
Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and minimize food wastage.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or Cook in a reputable Chinese restaurant.
Expertise in Chinese cooking methods such as wok frying, steaming, braising, and roasting.
Knowledge of regional Chinese cuisines (e.g., Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, etc.) is a strong advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders efficiently.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Culinary certification or formal training is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Accommodation and food provided
Standing for extended periods and working in a hot kitchen environment.
