You will be joining CAN OFFSHORE PRIVATE LIMITED, a reputable Mumbai-based shipping company established in 2005 by Mr. Ramesh B. Suvarna, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the shipping industry. Initially focusing on passenger and crew boats in Mumbai Harbour, the company has since expanded its operations to encompass tugging, towing, and associated services, with towage being a significant part of its current activities. The company prides itself on its continuous growth, driven by a highly skilled executive team and crew with backgrounds in the marine and allied industries. As the Chief Engineer in this full-time on-site role based in Mumbai, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the maintenance and operation of the ship's engine room and machinery. Your responsibilities will include supervising engine room staff, devising maintenance plans, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring adherence to maritime regulations, and keeping detailed logs and reports. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to maintain the vessel's operational efficiency. To excel in this position, you must bring to the table extensive expertise in marine engineering and ship maintenance, coupled with strong leadership abilities to manage engine room personnel effectively. Your proficiency in diagnosing technical challenges, implementing maintenance strategies, and upholding safety protocols will be crucial. Excellent communication and coordination skills are vital for seamless collaboration with various stakeholders. Possession of relevant maritime certifications and a valid Chief Engineer license is mandatory, while prior experience in tugging, towing, or allied services would be advantageous.
