Chemistry Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and experienced chemistry Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in education with a concentration in Chemistry. Previous experience in a high school environment, excellent oral and written communication skills. Responsibilities: * Plan lessons, present information, promote discussion, assess performance and modify learning techniques in the study of biology for students in high school. * Instruct students in large classroom settings as well as small groups to expand knowledge of scientific method and laboratory techniques. * Provide a safe and stable learning environment and discipline misbehaving or disrespectful students in strict adherence with school policies. * Encourage active participation and monitor individual student performance to enhance their understanding and mastery of skills. * Utilize state and district standards concerning exam administration, and record scores for submission to appropriate governing agencies. * Attend departmental and school-wide educator meetings on a monthly basis, in addition to quarterly training conferences. * Communicate with students and parents through conferences, telephone calls, and email about student performance, goal setting, behavior problems, and other issues. By posting this job ad, we aim to find a qualified and experienced Chemistry Teacher who can contribute to the teaching of biology under the direction of the Line Manager, in accordance with the national curriculum and using appropriate syllabus, materials, and schemes of work. The candidate should be able to evaluate and assess pupils' work and report on pupil achievement and attainment in line with school policy. The candidate should also be able to provide and contribute to supervisory duties, administrative routines and duties, pastoral and curricular matters in accordance with school policies.
