Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct chemical testing of food, beverage, water, and raw materials as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Analyze samples for contaminants, preservatives, moisture content, acidity, pH, protein, fat, ash, etc.
Operate laboratory instruments such as
HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
, and
titration apparatus
.
Prepare reagents and standard solutions as required for analytical procedures.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and observations.
Ensure all analyses meet industry and government regulatory standards (FSSAI, BIS, ISO, etc.).
Participate in method validation, calibration of equipment, and internal audits.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free laboratory environment.
Adhere to good laboratory practices (GLP) and quality assurance protocols.
Assist in the development and improvement of testing methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in
Chemistry
,
Food Technology
,
Biochemistry
, or related field.
Minimum 13 years of experience in food chemical analysis or food quality testing laboratory.
Knowledge of food safety standards such as
FSSAI
,
ISO 22000
,
HACCP
, etc.
Familiarity with lab instruments like
HPLC, GC, AAS, ICP-MS
(if applicable).
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and record-keeping.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification or training in food testing or quality assurance.
Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
