Job Title: Chemical Engineer - Plastic Pyrolysis

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team in developing and optimizing plastic pyrolysis processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in chemical engineering, process development, and optimization, with a focus on plastic waste management and chemical recycling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Development:

- Design, develop, and optimize plastic pyrolysis processes to convert plastic waste into valuable chemicals and fuels

- Conduct experiments and simulations to improve process efficiency and yield

• Process Optimization:

- Analyse process data and identify areas for improvement

- Implement process changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality

• Collaboration:

- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and commercialize new products and technologies

- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and operators to identify and solve technical problems

• Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure safe operation of pilot plants and laboratory facilities

- Comply with relevant regulations and standards, including environmental and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Education:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field

• Experience:

- 3+ years of experience in chemical engineering, process development, and optimization

- Experience with pyrolysis or similar technologies is a plus

• Skills:

- Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, kinetics,&mass transfer

- Experience with plastic pyrolysis or similar technologies (waste-to-fuel, chemical recycling)

- Knowledge of catalyst development and characterization for pyrolysis reactions

- Experience with process scale-up, commercialization, and techno-economic analysis

- Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations specific to pyrolysis operations (waste handling, emissions control)

- Experience with GC-MS, TGA, or other analytical techniques for pyrolysis product characterization

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with plastic pyrolysis or similar technologies

- Knowledge of catalyst development and characterization

- Experience with process scale-up and commercialization

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards
