Chemical Engineer

You are a detail-oriented and analytical Chemical Engineer sought by Hydrotech Paryavaran India Pvt. Ltd., a prominent environmental engineering company dedicated to delivering sustainable water and wastewater treatment solutions in India. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting chemical analysis, optimizing treatment processes, troubleshooting system inefficiencies, and ensuring compliance through accurate documentation. You will be tasked with performing chemical testing on raw wastewater and treated effluent to assess water quality, conducting routine tests such as pH, COD, BOD, TSS, and additional tests like TN, TKN, TP as needed, and ensuring that results meet both regulatory and operational standards. In terms of process optimization, you will analyze test results and plant data to identify inefficiencies, make recommendations for process improvements, and implement enhancements to boost treatment performance. Collaboration is key as you will work closely with mechanical and electrical teams to identify and resolve operational issues within the plant. Your ability to take immediate corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted and efficient treatment processes will be crucial. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining detailed records of lab test results, sludge generation and disposal, chemical usage, calibration logs, and inspection checklists, as well as preparing duty rosters for plant operators and support staff. To qualify for this role, you should possess a B.Sc. in Chemistry or a B.Tech/Diploma in Chemical Engineering. While 12 years of relevant experience in wastewater treatment or chemical analysis is preferred, freshers with strong academic backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. Key skills required include a solid understanding of wastewater chemistry and laboratory procedures, an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication and team coordination skills, proficiency in data interpretation and record-keeping, and the capacity to work in shifts and manage operator schedules.
