Role- Chef Devops

Experience Range- 4-10 Years

Work Location - PAN India

JD:

Responsibilities:

Chef Cookbook creation
Previous experience in creating new cookbooks for new operatingsystems
Previous experience in creatingcookbooks for both Windows and Linux
Previous experience in creating cookbooks for application deployment such as MS SQL and MongoDB.
Previous experience with automated cookbook testing.
Maintain existing Chef Recipes
For all existing Chef recipes, the team should maintain them in a working state. Update them as necessary to keep up with latest software releases and patches
Monitor ticketing queue for Chef related trouble tickets that come in and remediate the issues
If the Chef dashboard is reporting any issues, the team should create a trouble ticket for it and remediate it on their own
Maintain Chef Automate software running on Paramount Cloud infrastructure
We installed Chef on AWS EC2, and we maintain that software and upgrades to it. The team should be able to maintain this and upgrade when necessary
There is also DR configured for Chef and the team should be able to initiate DR and support our configuration
Make sure cookbooks are promoted across environments when deployed.
