CFD Engineer

Position Name: CFD Engineer

Qualification: BE/ ME. (Mechanical/Automobile/Aerospace)

Years of Experience: > 3 to 8 yrs.

Location: Pune, Chakan

Purpose of the Position(Short Summary of the Role):

To lead and execute CFD pre-processing and simulation activities across the product development lifecycle of car , ensuring high-quality deliverables, robust correlation with physical tests, and effective communication with internal teams, global counterparts, and suppliers.

Authority:

Authorized to define CFD simulation strategies, approve model quality, and guide correlation activities. Empowered to mentor team members, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and represent CFD outcomes in technical reviews and leadership meetings.

Skills Required:

• CFD Simulation (External Aero, HVAC, Thermal, Water Wading, etc.)
• Geometry cleanup, meshing, solver setup (ANSA, STAR-CCM+, Fluent)
• Correlation with physical tests (e.g., Wind Tunnel)
• CFD workflow automation (Python, MATLAB)
• Communication & technical presentation skills
• Cross-functional collaboration & supplier coordination

Key Responsibilities &Tasks:

• Perform pre-processing activities for CFD simulations.
• Perform simulations and interpret results to support design decisions
• Drive correlation activities between simulation and physical test data
• Define and implement quality standards, checklists, and review protocols
• Collaborate with design, testing, and product development teams
• Manage simulation timelines, risks, and deliverables aligned with project milestones
• Prepare technical reports and present outcomes to stakeholders and leadership
• Define the conception and methodic of tests, define the test goals and ensure the testing capacity
• Handle sensitive data (e.g., A-class surfaces) and ensure confidentiality
• Support continuous improvement of simulation methodologies and workflows
