Cellular 5G/4G Firmware Verification Technical lead

As a Cellular 5G/4G Firmware Verification Engineer at our company, you will be a key player in the embedded firmware verification efforts for cutting-edge cellular SoCs. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to create and execute firmware verification test cases, validate key protocols and algorithms, and contribute to the development of pre-silicon emulation systems. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities: - Work with a team of engineers to create firmware verification test cases and ensure end-to-end physical layer performance. - Design and develop validation frameworks for 4G/5G firmware and execute test cases while analyzing and debugging any issues encountered during testing. - Develop test automation for 4G/5G user equipment (UEs), test simulators, and gNodeBs. - Verify critical protocol, signal processing, and numerical algorithms within strict time, latency, and energy constraints. - Collaborate with Systems/Firmware teams to validate new and existing features. In addition to your responsibilities, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - Strong understanding of firmware verification processes and experience in leading projects from planning to delivery. - 12+ years of experience in verification and leading firmware verification programs. - Proficiency in 5G and 4G 3GPP physical layer and protocol stack procedures. - Experience in firmware test case planning, design, and development for functional and performance scenarios. - Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages like Python, C/C++, and Java. - Knowledge of 4G/5G signaling and physical layer test equipment (Keysight/Anritsu/R&S) and their automation interfaces. Minimum Qualifications: - Strong analytical and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues in collaboration with firmware and systems design teams. - Deep understanding of software engineering principles and computer science fundamentals. - Proficiency with build and source code control tools. - Willingness to learn new architectures, frameworks, and experience with network emulators, silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms. - Strong leadership skills in managing cross-functional and cross-geographical teams. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
