Job Description

A Chinese CDP (Chef de Partie) job involves overseeing a specific section of a Chinese kitchen, preparing authentic and high-quality Chinese dishes, managing a team of junior chefs, ensuring food safety and hygiene, maintaining inventory, and assisting with menu planning and execution. The role requires strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of Chinese cuisine to deliver consistent quality and presentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Dish Preparation & Quality Control: Prepare and cook a wide range of Chinese dishes to high standards, ensuring consistent quality, taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Manage a designated kitchen section, ensuring it is clean, well-organized, and equipped.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, including commis chefs and kitchen porters, providing guidance and support.
  • Inventory & Supplies: Monitor and manage inventory within their section, including ordering necessary food items and kitchen supplies.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain and enforce strict food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring all procedures are followed.
  • Menu Contribution: Assist with menu development, recipe refinement, and creating new Chinese dishes.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other kitchen staff, such as the sous chef and head chef, to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Mise en Place: Oversee the preparation and organization of ingredients ("mise en place") for their section.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Culinary Expertise: A deep understanding of authentic Chinese cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Ability to lead, motivate, and train a team of junior chefs.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a busy kitchen section.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail in food presentation, quality, and hygiene.
  • Communication: Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, with a specialization in Chinese cuisine.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
