Cath Lab Technician

Key Responsibilities

A. Procedural & Technical

• Prepare Equipment: Set up and test all sterile supplies, instruments, and monitoring devices before the case.
• Operate Imaging: Use fluoroscopy (C-Arm) to provide real-time X-ray guidance to the physician during catheter placement.
• Assist the Physician: Perform duties as scrub tech to manage catheters and devices during procedures like angioplasty and stent placement.
• Maintain Records: Accurately document all procedural events, technical data, equipment used, and findings in the patient's record.

B. Patient Care & Safety

• Patient Prep: Review the patient's history, obtain final consent, and prepare the site for catheter insertion.
• Vitals Monitoring: Watch the patient's EKG and vitals (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen) constantly, reporting any changes immediately.
• Emergency Response: Be proficient in emergency protocols, including setting up and operating the defibrillator and assisting with life support.
• Infection/Radiation Control: Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure adherence to all radiation safety protocols for staff and the patient.

C. Logistical

• Inventory: Manage and restock all specialized supplies (catheters, guide wires, stents) to ensure immediate availability for planned and emergency cases.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve basic technical issues with monitoring systems and other lab equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• cathlab technician: 3 years (Preferred)

Language:

• Kannada, hindi and english (Preferred)
