Catering Management Internship

Role Overview: As a catering management intern at Craft My Plate, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and on-ground execution of catering events ranging from 40 to 300/500 guests. This role will provide you with hands-on experience across event operations, food logistics, client handling, and team coordination. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in gathering client requirements, menu selections, timelines, and event expectations. - Help prepare planning sheets, portioning, equipment lists, and staff allocation notes. - Coordinate with kitchens, vendors, and logistics teams to ensure readiness. - Support venue recce activities and learn buffet layout and setup requirements. - Support the event captain in setting up buffet counters, dcor alignment, and live stations. - Assist with food transfer, replenishment, portion control, and temperature maintenance. - Coordinate with servers, cooks, and helpers to maintain smooth service. - Interact with guests when required and provide basic client updates during the event. - Assist in teardown, packing equipment, and ensuring the venue is left clean and organized. - Help prepare post-event summaries including feedback, issues, and improvements. - Support inventory tracking and vendor follow-ups. Qualifications Required: - Currently pursuing a degree in hospitality management, event management, or a related field. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
