Role & responsibilities Lead and manage the casting production team to ensure efficient and effective operations. Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily casting activities, including die-casting, sand casting, and investment casting processes. Ensure the quality of cast components by monitoring production parameters and implementing process improvements. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize design and manufacturing processes to improve casting yield and reduce defects. Manage inventory, tools, and equipment to ensure proper functioning and readiness for production. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols for casting operations. Analyze production data and implement corrective actions for any deviations from quality, time, or cost targets. Oversee the training and development of casting staff to improve skills, knowledge, and productivity. Work closely with other departments, including procurement, maintenance, quality control, and design, to meet production goals and solve any production challenges. Manage budgets, labour costs, and ensure efficient resource allocation. Keep up to date with technological advances in casting processes and machinery, and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in casting operations. Prepare regular reports for senior management on production performance, including KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), output, quality metrics, and any issues encountered during production. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Strong knowledge of casting processes, including die-casting, sand casting, and investment casting (GDC , LPDC , HPDC ). Familiarity with industry standards , including quality control, safety, and environmental regulations. Proven ability to lead teams, with excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement / TPM.
