Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary

The Cashier and Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while accurately handling sales transactions. This role ensures a positive shopping experience by assisting customers, answering questions, resolving concerns, and maintaining an organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service
• Process sales transactions accurately using cash registers or POS systems
• Handle cash, credit/debit card, and digital payments responsibly
• Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and store credits as needed
• Assist customers with product inquiries, pricing, and availability
• Resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and courteously
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout and service areas
• Stock shelves and assist with inventory counts when required
• Follow company policies, procedures, and loss-prevention guidelines
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational goals

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items

Work Environment

• Retail store, supermarket, restaurant, or service-oriented setting
• May require evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
