Cashier (Jewlery Industry)

A jewellery cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions in a jewellery store, including processing payments, providing receipts, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. They also play a role in customer service, assisting with inquiries and maintaining a welcoming environment at the checkout counter. Additional duties may include handling cash, balancing the register, and assisting with inventory and security. Key Responsibilities:

• Processing Payments: Handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently.
• Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering questions about products, and providing a positive checkout experience.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of sales transactions, cash flow, and inventory.
• Security: Ensuring the security of cash, jewellery, and other valuables.
• Maintaining the Counter: Keeping the checkout area clean, organized, and presentable.
• Assisting with Inventory: Helping with stock management, including counting and organizing items.
• Handling Returns and Exchanges: Processing returns and exchanges according to store policy.
• Following Procedures: Adhering to all store policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, and customer service.

Required Skills:

• Cash Handling: Proficiency in handling cash transactions and balancing cash registers.
• Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in all transactions and record-keeping.
• Basic Math Skills: Calculating change, discounts, and totals.
• Computer Literacy: Using POS systems and other relevant software.
• Product Knowledge: Understanding basic jewellery types, materials, and pricing.
• Problem-Solving: Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues related to payments or transactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
