Role Overview:
As a Career Counsellor/Sr. Career Advisor at CGC University, you will play a vital role in assisting our students in making informed career decisions. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance, advice, and support throughout their academic journey, ensuring each student is equipped with a well-defined career roadmap.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct individual career counseling sessions to understand student interests, skills, and goals.2. Assess students' aptitudes, strengths, and weaknesses to determine suitable career paths.3. Provide comprehensive information about various educational programs, courses, career options, and job prospects.4. Assist students in developing personalized academic and career development plans.5. Organize and conduct career-related workshops, seminars, and panel discussions.6. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, job market demands, and emerging career opportunities.7. Liaise with faculty, industry professionals, and alumni to facilitate student internships, placements, and networking opportunities.8. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth coordination of career-related events and initiatives.9. Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including career assessments and counseling sessions.10. Utilize various career assessment tools and techniques to aid in career decision-making.11. Provide timely and accurate information on job placement services, including resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.12. Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring they are meeting their career development goals.13. Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of career counseling programs and suggest improvements if needed.14. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, and employers to enhance the overall career services experience.15. Participate in professional development activities to stay updated on career counseling best practices and latest trends.

Requirements:
1. A master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Career Counseling, or a related field.2. Proven experience in career counseling, preferably in an academic setting.3. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.4. Strong knowledge of various career assessment tools and methodologies.5. Familiarity with current employment trends across different industries.6. Proficiency in MS Office and career management software/tools.7. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.8. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.9. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
