MINIMUN EXPERIENCE: 3 YRS

JD:

1. Patient Monitoring & Assessment

• Continuously monitor vital signs: ECG, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, etc.
• Recognize early signs of cardiac distress or deterioration.
• Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments.

2. Medication Administration

• Administer cardiac medications (e.g., anti-arrhythmics, vasopressors, inotropes).
• Monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Manage IV drips, central lines, and infusion pumps.

3. Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to code blue and cardiac arrest situations.
• Perform CPR, defibrillation, and assist with intubation.
• Operate emergency equipment like defibrillators, ventilators, and crash carts.

4. Post-Operative Cardiac Care

• Care for patients after cardiac surgeries (e.g., CABG, valve replacements).
• Monitor for bleeding, infection, and post-operative complications.
• Assist in the weaning process from ventilators.

5. Equipment Management

• Use and maintain ICU equipment such as ECG monitors, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ventilators.
• Ensure all equipment is functional and troubleshoot issues.

6. Patient & Family Support

• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and post-discharge care.
• Provide emotional support during critical illness or end-of-life care.
• Maintain communication with family members regarding patient condition.

7. Documentation & Communication

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts and electronic records.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Report any changes in patient condition to physicians immediately.

8. Infection Control & Safety

• Follow strict ICU protocols for hygiene, PPE, and sterile techniques.
• Prevent hospital-acquired infections (e.g., CLABSI, VAP, CAUTI).
• Adhere to patient safety guidelines.
