Calculation Engineer- Materials & Structural Integrity (FEA) - Steam Turbine R&D

Role Overview: As a Structural Integrity Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out static/transient, Linear/Non-linear thermo-mechanical FEA (Finite Element Analysis) & CFD of Steam Turbine static & Rotating components using commercial software such as ABAQUS, ANSYS-CFX. You will analyze components like casing, valves, rotor, bearing pedestals, blades, etc. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Low cycle fatigue, High Cycle fatigue assessment of different components of steam turbine. - Conduct high-temperature Creep calculation and assessment. - Interpret calculation results logically and provide design change solutions. Perform design optimization accordingly. - Ensure seamless transfer of structural integrity calculation input and output between design team and project lead. - Develop innovative solutions and control the risk of design changes using methods like FMEA. - Prepare and document FE calculations in the form of structural integrity design report. - Participate in and conduct structural integrity design reviews at component level / project level. - Flexibly switch to other calculation topics like Rotor dynamics, Thermodynamics, etc., as per business needs. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in performing static/transient, Linear/Non-linear thermo-mechanical FEA & CFD using software like ABAQUS, ANSYS-CFX. - Experience in Low cycle fatigue, High Cycle fatigue assessment and high-temperature Creep calculation. - Ability to provide design change solutions and optimize designs based on calculation results. - Strong communication skills for seamless transfer of information between teams. - Knowledge of risk control methods like FMEA.,
