Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of the Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) as a Procurement Specialist, supporting the Supply Chain Procurement team in day-to-day activities and collaborating with suppliers to expedite the delivery of components for the Germany Service Centre. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the procurement of goods and services following the standard process workflow. - Create accurate and timely purchase orders, transmitting them to suppliers and expediting delivery when necessary. - Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely reordering from suppliers. - Maintain supplier relationships, resolve any arising issues, and collaborate with other departments for smooth operations. - Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate when needed to ensure progress is on track. - Adhere to the organization's Supply Chain management processes and ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy integrity guidelines. - Act as a role model for the team, embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree and hands-on experience working with SAP MM module. - Knowledge of ERP systems and P2P processes, along with proficiency in MS Office tools. - Excellent English language skills in speaking, reading, and writing; knowledge of basic German is advantageous. - Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage with customers and stakeholders effectively. - Ability to work under pressure, manage customer expectations, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is a must.
