Business Journalist

You will be joining the editorial team in Kochi at the English-language digital platform of Dhanam Business Media, known as english.dhanamonline.com, which is a prominent business news website in southern India. Your primary responsibilities will include editing and creating clear, accurate, and engaging content related to business, markets, economy, and finance. You will also be expected to translate and adapt complex financial, economic, and technological reports into easily comprehensible business journalism. Collaboration with a dynamic editorial team to ensure high-quality output within tight deadlines is essential. Additionally, you will be tasked with generating story ideas, interviewing business leaders, and contributing to enterprise reporting. To be considered for this role, you should possess a minimum of three years of experience in business or financial journalism/editing. A strong command of English-language editing and headline writing is crucial. An educational background in Economics, Commerce, Business, English, or Journalism is preferred. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is necessary. Familiarity with digital-first journalism and online publishing tools would be advantageous.
