Business Finance Manager

AOP, forecasting, P&L management, business insights, and commercial decision support

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support end-to-end AOP preparation across revenue, margins, trade spends, and operating costs.
  
• Lead monthly/quarterly forecasting cycles and identify risks & opportunities.
  
• Consolidate inputs from category, sales, supply chain, and marketing for accurate planning.
  

2. P&L Management & Variance Analysis

• Track business performance against AOP and forecasts.
  
• Manage topline, gross margin, contribution, and trade investments.
  
• Conduct variance analysis (Plan vs Actuals, Forecast vs Actuals) and highlight drivers to leadership.
  

3. Business Partnering

• Work closely with business heads and functional leaders to influence decisions through financial insights.
  
• Support pricing decisions, promotional ROI analysis, and product/category evaluations.
  
• Participate in business reviews and provide actionable insights on growth and profitability.
  

4. Commercial Finance Support

• Analyse trade spends, channel schemes, distributor margins, and return on promotions.
  
• Evaluate new launches, channel programs, and marketing investments from a financial viability standpoint.
  
• Support working capital management (inventory, receivables, payables) as required.
  

5. MIS, Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare monthly dashboards, KPIs, and management reports for leadership.
  
• Drive structured reporting on revenue, margins, market performance, and productivity.
  
• Strengthen data-driven decision-making through insights and analytics.
  

6. Financial Governance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to financial policies, budget controls, and approval processes.
  
• Support audits, compliance, and accuracy of accruals for spends.
  
• Maintain strong internal controls across business processes.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• CA

  with

  36 years

  of experience in

  Business Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance

  or similar roles.
• FMCG or Consumer Goods experience strongly preferred.
