Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced professional to

build and scale Scimplify's Water Treatment Chemicals business.

This role is

strictly focused on water treatment chemicals

including business development, portfolio development, and B2B customer engagement.

This is not a finished water treatment solutions, EPC, or service role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow the Water Treatment Chemicals portfolio, including:
  • Coagulants & flocculants
  • RO / membrane treatment chemicals
  • Scale & corrosion inhibitors
  • Biocides and specialty water chemicals
  • Drive B2B business with industrial customers, formulators, traders, and EPC chemical-buying teams.
  • Identify and onboard Indian and international manufacturers for water treatment chemicals.
  • Manage end-to-end techno-commercial activities: customer discussions, RFQs, pricing, negotiation, and closures.
  • Support product trials, specifications, and application-level discussions from a chemical supply perspective.
  • Work closely with internal QA, logistics, and leadership teams.
  • Track market trends, pricing, and import substitution opportunities.
  • Contribute to make vs trade and private-label strategies.

Requirements

  • 612 years of experience in water treatment chemicals Experience with:
  • Chemical manufacturers
  • Specialty chemical traders
  • Raw material suppliers to water treatment formulators
  • Strong exposure to industrial water treatment chemicals is mandatory

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of:
  • Water treatment chemical chemistry
  • Coagulants, polymers, phosphonates, antiscalants, biocides
  • Product specifications and performance parameters

Commercial Skills

  • Strong B2B sales
  • Experience in supplier and customer negotiations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a new vertical
