Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead our strategic expansion into the Defence sector (Navy, Army, Aerospace) and manage high-value corporate accounts in the Railways ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2G (Business-to-Government) sales, with experience in Defence procurement and liaison. You will also be responsible for B2B sales, managing relationships with private MNCs (e.g., Alstom, Siemens) in the railway supply chain. This is a senior role for a self-starter who can build a new vertical from the ground up.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Defence Market Penetration (Primary):

    • Develop and execute market-entry strategy for Defence, focusing on Indian Navy, Army, and Aerospace.
    • Act as the primary liaison with Ministry of Defence (MoD), DRDO, Defence PSUs (Mazagon Dock, BEML, etc.), and Naval/Army HQs.
    • Manage the complete Defence tendering process: RFI, RFP, EOI, and contract negotiation as per DAP/DPP.
    • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline within the Defence vertical.
  • Railways & Key Account Management (Secondary):

    • Manage and grow key corporate accounts with private MNCs in the Indian Railways ecosystem.
    • Identify new opportunities for driver seats and other products within railway and metro-rail projects.
    • Secure repeat business and ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Sales & Strategy:

    • Achieve ambitious sales targets for both verticals.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
    • Represent the company at industry expos, vendor meets, and high-level meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Mandatory:

    7+ years of experience in B2B / B2G Sales.
  • Mandatory:

    Proven experience in

    Defence sales/liaison

    and a strong understanding of the Defence Procurement Procedure (DAP/DPP).
  • Highly Preferred:

    Existing network within the Indian Navy, Army, or Defence PSUs.
  • Highly Preferred:

    Experience in B2B sales to the

    Railways

    sector and/or managing accounts with MNCs like Alstom, Siemens, Wabtec, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
