Role Overview

We are hiring a Business Development Executive to generate leads, build relationships with academic and research clients, and close sales of our journals, subscriptions and publication services. Key Responsibilities

• Generate new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach and other digital channels.
• Sell journals, subscriptions and publication services to universities, colleges, research institutes, libraries and researchers.
• Understand client needs, present suitable solutions and share quotations and proposals.
• Follow up on leads and move them through the sales pipeline to closure.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Record leads, calls, follow-ups and conversions in the CRM or tracking sheets.
• Coordinate with the editorial, production and accounts teams for smooth delivery and timely payment collection.
• Track market trends and competitors, and share feedback with management.
• Prepare regular sales and performance reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline (MBA or PGDM in Marketing or Sales preferred).
• 1 to 3 years of experience in business development, inside sales, lead generation or client acquisition.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Good negotiation, presentation and follow-up skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email.
• Comfortable with cold calling and handling objections.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and able to manage time independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in publishing, EdTech, academic services or the education sector.
• Understanding of scholarly publishing, journal indexing and the research ecosystem.
• Experience with CRM tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
