Job Title: Business Coordinator – FMCG (Agro Commodities, Exports & Imports)

Location: Chennai

Experience: 5+ Years

Reporting To: Business Development Manager / Export Manager / Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Coordinator with a strong background in agro commodities, FMCG, and international trade (exports & imports). The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating business operations, managing trade documentation, liaising with clients and vendors, and ensuring the smooth execution of international trade transactions. Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage end-to-end export and import operations of agro commodities and FMCG products.

Liaise with buyers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely shipments and clearances.

Prepare and verify export documentation (Invoices, Packing List, BL, COO, Phyto, Fumigation, etc.).

Maintain and update sales, shipping, and inventory records.

Monitor LCs (Letters of Credit), advance payments, and other financial instruments related to trade.

Handle communication with international clients, resolving queries and providing updates on shipments.

Track shipment status and proactively address any logistics or documentation issues.

Support the Business Development and Sales team in executing deals and maintaining client relationships.

Stay up to date with international trade regulations, incoterms, and compliance standards.

Collaborate with internal departments including logistics, finance, and quality control.

Assist in generating business reports, forecasts, and presentations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Agriculture, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a business coordination role within FMCG or agro commodities sector.

Strong knowledge of export/import documentation, logistics, and supply chain operations.

Familiarity with global trade regulations, incoterms, and customs processes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and preferably ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Zoho).

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in agri-exports/imports including commodities like pulses, spices, grains, etc.

Understanding of commodity pricing, seasonality, and supply-demand trends.

Previous exposure to market research and vendor/client management in international trade.

Salary: upto 30,000 to 40,000 per month(Based on experience and market standards)

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
