Job Description

Role: Business Analyst. Work Location: Yerwada, Pune. Job Type: Permanent.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Gather information from multiple sources and critically evaluating it, reconciling conflicts, disseminating high-level information into details and distinguishing user requests from their true needs.

• Driving and challenging the presumptions of business units on how will they successfully execute their plans.

• Prior knowledge on Payment domain is MUST.

• Interpreting business needs of product and translating them into the application and operational requirement with the help of strong analytical and product management skills.

• Establishing the technical vision and analysing trade-offs between usability and performance needs by teaming up with developers and subject matter experts.

• Liaising between technology teams, support teams and business units.

• Use standard templates and natural language to develop requirement specifications.

• Serving as a channel between the product owner and the software development team through which requirements flow.

• Communicating and collaborating proactively with the product owners to analyse information needs and functional requirements and delivering Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs as and when required.

• Delivering work products throughout the product life cycle.

• Analysing information from workshops, task analysis, and business process description.

• Defining and documenting product business functions and processes.

• Identifying, defining and documenting business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements and levels of systems access after consulting with functional team.

• SME in Accounting

• SME in Dispute Management

• Analysing the practicability of and developing requirements for new product features and up gradations to existing systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Ensuring the system design is perfect as per the product needs.

• Maintaining wizard-driven configuration tables in the case management system.

• Participating in user acceptance testing and undertaking the functionality testing of new product feature.

• Developing a training curriculum and conducting formal training sessions covering assigned systems module for product team members.

• He/She should be very good in Problem solving, Decision making and Negotiation.

Accounting Closure o Requirements Gathering

Engage with clients Accounting/Finance teams to understand close process pain points.

Document current state processes (as-is) and define future state (to-be) proposed by Organization.

Data Analysis - Analyse financial data flows, journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.

Ensure data integrity during the closing process. o Process Improvement

Identify areas to streamline

Recommend best practices for reduced close cycle time. o System Implementation Support

Assist in implementing financial close and reconciliation tool o Documentation & SOPs

Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for closing activities.

Maintain clear documentation of accounting processes o Validation

Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for accounting close processes.

Validate financial reports generated post-closure for accuracy and compliance.

Workflow

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand existing workflows and identify pain points.

Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements related to process workflows.

Workflow Design & Optimization

Map current (as-is) workflows and identify inefficiencies or redundancies.

Design future (to-be) workflows that improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience.

Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities. o Documentation & Process Mapping

Create clear and comprehensive workflow diagrams.

Document business processes, use cases, and user stories where necessary. o Workflow Implementation Support

Work closely with development teams or workflow automation teams

Validate that implemented workflows meet business needs through UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

Experience: • 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
