Project Overview:

The client is executing a strategic Data Warehouse and Analytics modernization initiative. We are augmenting their team with a Business Analyst who has strong experience in data projects, stakeholder collaboration, and requirement gathering to drive seamless delivery across business and IT.

Role Summary:

The selected Business Analyst will work onsite with US-based stakeholders, supporting the full lifecycle of the Data Warehouse project. This includes gathering data/reporting requirements, supporting ETL and BI teams, and ensuring delivery meets business expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Lead requirement gathering sessions, document BRDs/FRDs, and data flow diagrams.
• Define and manage source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and data quality rules.
• Support the ETL design process by working closely with Data Architects and Developers.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning and validation support.
• Perform data validation using SQL to confirm outputs match business expectations.
• Track and communicate status, issues, and risks to both client and delivery teams.
• Ensure traceability between business needs and data/BI outputs.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5- 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Data Warehouse / ETL / BI projects.
• Previous client-facing experience is a must.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL lifecycle, and data modelling basics.
• Skilled in writing SQL for data profiling and validation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working under client-managed timelines in a staff aug model.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or financial services.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, SSRS, or Tableau.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, or cloud data platforms.
