Job Summary

Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management

  • Gather, analyze, and document

    business and functional requirements

    for HR, HCM, and US Payroll systems.
  • Conduct

    requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and gap analysis

    .
  • Act as a liaison between

    HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams

    .
  • Translate business needs into

    BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria

    .

US Payroll & HR Domain

  • Support

    US Payroll processes

    including earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, time & attendance, and compliance.
  • Understand payroll calendars, payroll cycles, off-cycle runs, and year-end processing (W-2, 1099).
  • Ensure compliance with

    US payroll laws and regulations

    (FLSA, federal/state taxes).
  • Assist in payroll audits, reconciliation, and issue resolution.

HCM Functional Support

  • Work on

    HCM modules

    such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits Administration, Time & Attendance.
  • Support system enhancements, configuration changes, and integrations with third-party payroll vendors.
  • Participate in

    UAT planning and execution

    , validate test cases, and support defect resolution.

Project & Delivery Support

  • Collaborate with

    Project Managers / Scrum Masters

    to support sprint planning and delivery.
  • Track requirements, dependencies, risks, and change requests.
  • Provide status updates and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

  • 34 years of experience

    as a Business Analyst in

    HR / Payroll / HCM domains

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    US Payroll systems

    (any leading HCM or payroll platform).
  • Experience working in

    Agile / Scrum or Waterfall

    environments.

Domain & Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of

    US Payroll concepts and HR processes

    .
  • Experience in writing

    BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases

    , and process flows.
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance, tax calculations, and benefits processing.

Tools & Methodologies

  • Experience with

    JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel

    or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with

    Agile ceremonies

    (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).

Soft Skills

  • Excellent

    communication and stakeholder management

    skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a

    remote environment

    .

Good to Have

  • Experience with

    US payroll implementations or migrations

    .
  • Exposure to

    HRIS / HCM platforms

    (Workday, ADP, UKG, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, etc.).
