Boiler operator

Key Responsibilities:

Boiler Operation & Monitoring

• Operate, monitor, and control

  boiler systems

  (fire tube or water tube) to ensure consistent steam supply.
• Maintain appropriate

  steam pressure, water levels, and fuel feed

  for smooth boiler operation.
• Start-up and shut down boiler equipment as per standard operating procedures.

Routine Checks & Maintenance

• Carry out

  daily checks on pressure, temperature, water levels, safety valves

  , and combustion conditions.
• Report and assist in the

  troubleshooting of boiler faults or malfunctions

  .
• Perform

  minor maintenance and cleaning

  of boiler and associated pipelines, valves, and pumps.

Utility Equipment Support

• Monitor associated

  utility systems

  like feed water pumps, fuel supply systems, and condensate recovery units.
• Check

  softener/DM water quality

  , fuel levels, and burner conditions.

Record Keeping & Compliance

• Maintain accurate

  logbooks of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and parameter readings

  .
• Ensure boiler operations are as per

  Factory Act, Boiler Rules, and Pollution Control norms

  .
• Assist during

  annual inspections and certifications

  by boiler inspectors or government authorities.

Safety & Regulations

• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including

  PPE use, isolation procedures, and emergency responses

  .
• Participate in

  safety drills, audits, and training programs

  conducted at the plant.
