Job Description

Role Overview: As a Boiler Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate and monitor steam boilers following safety and operating procedures. You will be required to conduct regular checks on pressure, temperature, water level, and fuel supply, as well as perform the daily start-up and shutdown of boiler systems. Additionally, you will need to maintain boiler logs, record performance data, handle emergency shutdowns, and troubleshoot issues promptly. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor steam boilers following safety and operating procedures - Conduct regular checks on pressure, temperature, water level, and fuel supply - Perform daily start-up and shutdown of boiler systems - Maintain boiler logs, record performance data, handle emergency shutdowns, and troubleshoot issues promptly - Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen and utility equipment such as grinders, exhaust fans, motors, electrical panels, and pumps - Conduct repairs for minor mechanical and electrical faults - Support the installation of new equipment and assist with electrical/mechanical works - Inspect and service utility systems like plumbing, water tanks, and exhaust systems - Ensure cleanliness and functionality of mechanical areas Qualifications Required: - Hold an ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or possess a Boiler Attendant Certificate - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in boiler operation and industrial maintenance - Knowledge of boiler safety norms, operating procedures, and basic troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical areas - Familiarity with kitchen machinery is considered an added advantage - Ability to work in shifts and promptly respond to breakdowns Additional Details: We value attributes such as the ability to work independently and in a team, being physically fit and alert while on duty, and the willingness to take responsibility and ensure safety at all times. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for both experienced professionals and freshers. The benefits include cell phone reimbursement, provided food, health insurance, and Provident Fund. The work schedule may involve day shifts, morning shifts, or rotational shifts, and additional incentives such as performance bonuses and yearly bonuses are offered.
