BMS Lead

Building Management System (BMS) Lead ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of building automation systems. Responsibilities: • The BMS Lead is responsible for the effective operation of the Building Management System across buildings and BMS Command center. • He will act as central resource and support BMS operations across all facilities. • Cognizant IT cyber security compliances pertaining to BMS operations are to be met timely and VM server management is to be taken care. • Provide expert knowledge, guidance, and support in the development of the BMS. • Ensure safe and timely completion of planned and reactive maintenance related to the BMS. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Expert Guidance and Leadership: Provide expert knowledge and leadership in the development of the BMS. • Maintenance Management: o Lead and direct internal staff and contractors in planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance of the BMS. o Address system or software upgrades. o Diagnose and rectify faults across the entire range of BMS equipment. • Risk Minimization: Identify potential software and hardware issues that may lead to service failures, minimizing risk, disruption, and inconvenience to building users. • Collaboration: Work closely with other workshop supervisors, engineers, and managers to support building services. • Reporting and Documentation: o Regularly report progress to management. o Maintain detailed documentation of system operations and maintenance. o Safety and Compliance: Participate in safety training and other development activities. o Operational Environment: Work in various environments, including cramped plant rooms and areas at height. Qualifications and Skills: • B.E/B. Tech degree in electrical/ electronic and communication from reputed university. • 10 + years of experience in BMS field at BMS Engineer position out of which minimum 3 to 5 years of BMS project exposure in green field. • Niagara platform exposure is preferable with certification.
