Job Description – BMC TrueSight Admin (L2 Level)
Overview

We are seeking a BMC TrueSight Administrator (L2 Level) to provide support and administration for BMC monitoring tools. The role involves installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of TrueSight components, Patrol Agents, and event management policies. The candidate should demonstrate strong fundamentals in BMC TrueSight Operations Management and related monitoring modules.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, upgrade, and administer BMC TrueSight Operations Management (version 10.x & later).

Deploy and manage Patrol Agents on multiple platforms (Windows, RHEL, AIX, Solaris).

Work with knowledge modules (KMs) including DB, WebSphere, Exchange, Sentry Hardware, Sentry Monitoring Studio, and basic KMs such as OS, LOG, URL.

Support customization and integration of custom KMs.

Troubleshoot issues related to Patrol Agents and TrueSight server components.

Configure and administer Event Management policies.

Work with MRLs, custom classes, and event workflows.

Provide monitoring support for Datacenter IT Infrastructure including Unix, Windows OS, and virtualization environments.

Collaborate with teams to ensure effective monitoring, incident communication, and impact analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

BMC TrueSight (Critical):

Strong knowledge of installation, upgrade, integration, and administration of TrueSight Operations Management.

Hands-on experience with Patrol Agent installation and KM management.

Troubleshooting skills for resolving TrueSight and Patrol component issues.

Working knowledge of Event Management, MRLs, and policy configuration.

IT Infrastructure (Important):

Familiarity with Datacenter components, Unix/Windows OS, and virtualization platforms.

Basic understanding of operating systems and databases.

Behavioral Competencies (Nice to Have):

Strong communication skills to articulate incident impacts to stakeholders.

Good problem analysis and troubleshooting abilities.

Certifications (Plus):

BMC TrueSight certification.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in BMC TrueSight Administration or related monitoring tools.

Bachelor//'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Offshore location: Egypt.
