Bioinformatics Systems Administrator

As a Bioinformatics Systems Administrator at Micro Crispr Meril Life Sciences, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the high-performance computing infrastructure and bioinformatics workflows. Your responsibilities will include: - Administering and maintaining Linux-based servers and HPC clusters like SLURM and PBS - Installing, configuring, and optimizing bioinformatics workflow management systems such as Snakemake, Nextflow, Docker, and Singularity - Providing technical support to researchers and troubleshooting computational workflows and software environments - Ensuring robust and scalable data storage, security, and backup systems - Supporting the execution and maintenance of neoantigen prediction pipelines like NetMHC, MHCflurry, and pVACtools - Monitoring system performance to ensure maximum uptime and reliability - Collaborating with internal research and software development teams to optimize computing resources Qualifications & Skills: Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related discipline - 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration and HPC environments - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and containerization tools such as Docker and Singularity - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred: - Working knowledge of immunoinformatic or neoantigen prediction tools - Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations like HIPAA and GDPR - Previous experience in a research-oriented or life sciences environment At Micro Crispr Meril Life Sciences, you will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of computational immunology and translational research in a collaborative and innovation-driven work environment.
