BIM Modeler MEP

An Electrical BIM Modeler develops comprehensive 3D models of electrical systems, including power, lighting, and extra-low voltage (ELV) systems, utilizing software such as Revit. This role emphasizes precision, coordination with other disciplines like architectural, structural, and mechanical, as well as clash detection using Navisworks. Additionally, the modeler generates construction documents and schedules while complying with project BIM standards and working alongside engineers for resolving clashes and ensuring design intent. Essential responsibilities include modeling equipment, creating parametric families, conducting clash detection, performing quantity takeoffs, and producing installation drawings based on the integrated model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in BIM modeling for electrical systems.
• Proficiency with BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of electrical design and construction processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes.
