BIM Coordinator

As a Design & Modeling professional for civil infrastructure projects in Hong Kong, your primary responsibility will be producing detailed and conceptual design drawings/models while ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate BIM workflows into project lifecycles efficiently. Your role will also involve developing, implementing, and enforcing BIM/CAD standards, templates, and best practices across projects. Maintaining and optimizing software templates such as Revit and Civil3D to ensure consistency and efficiency will be crucial. Automating repetitive tasks to enhance productivity and reduce errors will be part of your daily tasks, along with conducting quality control checks on all deliverables to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements. As a Technical Support leader, you will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing model performance, and mentoring junior staff through training sessions and on-the-job guidance. Creating customized BIM objects, families, and components to meet specific project needs will also be within your purview. Your collaboration and coordination skills will be put to the test as you follow the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and coordinate with external teams via the Common Data Environment (CDE). Ensuring seamless integration of BIM workflows with project management tools and collaboration platforms will be essential for project success. Key Competencies & Skills required for this role include advanced expertise in Revit, Civil3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MicroStation. Experience with CDE platforms like BIM360 and Acc is essential. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint for documentation and collaboration is also necessary. Clear and concise English communication skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork spirit, and adaptability to evolving technologies are crucial competencies expected from you. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Diploma or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering (Bachelors preferred) along with a recognized BIM qualification such as Autodesk Certified Professional or BSI BIM Level 2. A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on BIM experience in civil/infrastructure projects, including at least 2 years in a senior coordination role, is required.
