Big Data Solutions Architect

As an experienced Data Architect with over 8 years of relevant experience, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and resilient data architectures for both batch and streaming data processing. Your role will involve developing data models and database structures to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. Ensuring data security, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations will be a key focus area for you. You will also be responsible for integrating data from various sources into the big data infrastructure and monitoring and optimizing its performance. Collaboration will be a crucial aspect of your job as you work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Your expertise in evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools for data management and processing will be invaluable. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, identify and resolve complex data challenges, and actively participate in the pre-and-post sales process. The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant field with a total of 10+ years of experience. At least 2 years of experience as a Big Data Architect is required. You should have a strong understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data services like AWS, Azure, and GCP. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, Scala, and Spark is essential. Experience with data modeling, database design, ETL processes, and data security principles is also necessary. In addition to technical skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication and collaboration skills, knowledge of API design and development, and an understanding of data visualization techniques are required. Familiarity with authentication mechanisms like LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, Kerberos, and authorization configuration for Hadoop-based distributed systems is a plus. Experience with DevOps methodology, toolsets, and automation will be beneficial.
