Role & responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a candidate with hands-on experience in GST-related activities within the ecommerce environment. The role involves managing recurring compliance cycles, supporting audits, and ensuring accurate tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns.
Reconcile GST data across systems, invoices, and financial records.
Monitor changes in GST provisions relevant to ecommerce and ensure timely implementation.
Handle GST registration amendments, refund applications, and response drafting for notices.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless flow of transaction data for compliance.
Support GST audits, departmental queries, and documentation requirements.
Maintain accurate records for input tax credit, outward supplies, and other compliance elements.

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce or related field.
2-6 years of experience in GST compliance, in the ecommerce sector.
Strong understanding of GST laws, rules, and reporting processes.
Experience using GST return filing portals and reconciliation tools.
Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage timelines.

Exposure to high-volume transaction environments.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
