Job Summary

Accountant

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain day-to-day accounting records in Tally/ERP or relevant accounting software.
Record journal entries, manage ledgers, and ensure proper documentation.
Handle accounts payable/receivable and vendor/customer management.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

2. GST Compliance

Prepare and file
GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.)
.
Reconcile
GST input tax credit (ITC)
with vendor returns.
Handle GST payments, resolve mismatches, and respond to GST notices if required.
Ensure compliance with all GST rules and deadlines.

3. TDS Compliance

Compute applicable
TDS
on vendor/customer transactions.
Prepare and file
TDS returns
and generate Form 16A/16.
Ensure timely deposit of TDS and maintain proper documentation.
Handle TDS reconciliations and address any discrepancies.

4. Reconciliation

Perform
bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations
regularly.
Reconcile books with GST/TDS returns and financial statements.
Identify discrepancies and resolve issues on time.

5. Reporting & Support

Assist in preparation of MIS reports, financial statements, and management summaries.
Support auditors during internal and statutory audits.
Maintain proper records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
