Job Description

As a Senior Software Applications Development Engineer at NTT DATA, you will be an advanced subject matter expert responsible for developing new applications and enhancing existing applications to meet the needs of both internal organizations and external clients. Your key responsibilities will include developing applications that effectively achieve client objectives, designing and writing code for applications, maintaining application databases, analyzing and optimizing existing software applications, testing applications for errors and bugs, installing applications, and serving as a technical advisor. You will collaborate with internal technical stakeholders to gather project information, consult with clients during the design phase, produce software documentation, and participate in software product review meetings and team meetings. To excel in this role, you must possess an advanced understanding of computer science, strong knowledge of computer programming and application design, and the ability to focus on user-centric features. You should be a good team player, detail-oriented, capable of analyzing complex systems, and proficient in writing software using the Java Programming Language and other programming languages like Perl, Python, and C++. Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum, software development processes, software integrated development environments, and project management is crucial. You should also have excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills, along with the ability to handle client and customer issues professionally. Academically, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering, along with certifications in various programming languages and Scrum/project management. Your work experience should include advanced software applications engineering, software development, and proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, Java, and Python, as well as experience with Linux, Unix, Windows operating systems, SQL, and Agile environments.
