BI Manager (Client-Facing Power BI / ADF)

We are looking for an experienced Client-Facing BI Manager with hands-on expertise in Power BI and Azure Data Factory (ADF) to lead and manage enterprise reporting initiatives. This role combines strategic leadership, technical excellence, and delivery management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence and data engineering, outstanding communication skills, and a proven ability to manage offshore teams and U.S. client relationships.

This position will have a work shift that aligns with US Pacific Time, which is 12:30 hours behind India Time.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for U.S.-based clients, translating business objectives into actionable data and reporting solutions.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models aligned with business KPIs.
• Manage Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and orchestrating enterprise data.
• Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, including planning, resourcing, quality assurance, and client communication.
• Coordinate and manage offshore BI teams, ensuring clear work allocation, adherence to timelines, and delivery consistency.
• Oversee the project roadmap, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and timely status reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, model optimization, and visual storytelling in all reporting outputs.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and stakeholder sign-off for all BI deliverables.
• Conduct regular reviews with clients and internal stakeholders to assess reporting effectiveness and gather enhancement feedback.
• Provide thought leadership on self-service BI strategy, data governance, and platform scalability.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI (Desktop, Service, DAX, Power Query) and data modeling.
• Strong experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and managing ETL pipelines.
• Solid understanding of SQL and enterprise data warehousing principles.
• Prior experience in managing offshore delivery teams, with clear accountability for timelines and quality.
• Proven ability to work directly with U.S.-based clients, including executive stakeholders.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skillscapable of leading meetings, writing documentation, and presenting insights.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, or Databricks.
• Experience with Power BI Service administration, including workspace management and security (RLS).
• Exposure to CI/CD practices for BI assets.
• Microsoft Certification in Power BI (PL-300 or higher) preferred.
