The Tour Consultant is responsible for assisting clients in planning, organizing, and booking their travel experiences, including tours, transportation, and accommodation. They provide expert advice on destinations, activities, and services to ensure a personalized and memorable experience for the customer. Key Responsibilities: Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their travel preferences, needs, and budget. Offer expert advice on suitable travel destinations, itineraries, and activities. Customize travel packages to suit the client's specific interests and requirements. Travel Planning: Research destinations, accommodations, transportation, and activities to create tailored itineraries. Offer recommendations based on the client’s preferences, including cultural experiences, adventure activities, and relaxation options. Bookings and Reservations: Make travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, tours, and car rentals. Confirm and process payments, manage invoices, and maintain accurate records of bookings. Customer Service: Provide timely responses to inquiries and resolve issues or concerns during the booking process. Ensure clients are informed about any changes or disruptions to their travel plans. Marketing & Sales: Promote special tours and travel packages to clients and prospects. Build and maintain relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate client information and travel documentation. Update and maintain knowledge of travel trends, industry regulations, and new products/services. Problem Resolution: Address any problems or challenges that arise during travel, such as cancellations, delays, or changes in the itinerary. Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in a travel agency min 2years to 5years in tourism, or customer service role preferred. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in tourism, hospitality, or a related field is a plus. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients. Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping clients create memorable experiences. Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple bookings, schedules, and deadlines efficiently. Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions during challenging situations. Knowledge of Travel Industry: Familiarity with different travel destinations, booking systems, and industry practices. Work Environment: Office-based with occasional travel for site visits or familiarization trips. Flexible hours may be required based on client schedules and peak travel seasons.
