Job Title: Head of the Department – BBA

Department: Business Administration

Location: [Institution Name]

Reporting To: Principal / Academic Dean

Job Purpose:

To provide academic leadership, manage day-to-day departmental operations, ensure quality teaching and curriculum delivery, and foster an environment conducive to academic excellence and professional development in the BBA department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Leadership:
  • Lead the BBA department in academic planning, curriculum development, and implementation.
  • Ensure alignment with university/college academic standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote innovative teaching-learning methodologies and industry-integrated practices.
  • Administration & Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of faculty members, supporting staff, and students.
  • Prepare departmental budgets, timetables, and workload allocation.
  • Conduct departmental meetings and maintain academic discipline.
  • Faculty Development:
  • Mentor and support faculty in their professional growth and academic contributions.
  • Organize faculty development programs, seminars, and workshops.
  • Student Development:
  • Monitor student progress and take proactive measures for academic improvement.
  • Support placement, internship, and career guidance initiatives for BBA students.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure adherence to academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NAAC, NBA).
  • Coordinate internal assessments, feedback collection, and continuous evaluation.
  • Industry & Academic Collaboration:
  • Build linkages with industry, alumni, and other academic institutions.
  • Facilitate guest lectures, industrial visits, and live projects for experiential learning.
  • Research and Publications:
  • Encourage faculty and students to undertake research and publish in reputed journals.
  • Organize conferences, symposiums, and case study competitions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ph.D. or master’s degree (MBA/M.Com/Equivalent) in Management or Commerce.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of teaching/academic experience, with leadership or administrative exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of BBA curriculum and academic regulations.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving ability.
  • Familiarity with NAAC/NBA/UGC/AICTE norms.
  • Proficient in the use of academic management software and digital tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
