Pathology Lab Technologist in healthcare have the primary responsibility of proper testing all sample (blood/ urine/ sputam etc).Responsibilities As a Pathology Lab Technologist, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Sample Collection and Preparation: Properly receiving, logging, and labeling all incoming biological samples (blood, urine, sputum, tissue, etc.) according to established protocols. Ensuring samples are correctly stored and prepared for analysis, including centrifugation, aliquoting, and slide preparation. Specimen Testing and Analysis: Performing a wide range of laboratory tests in various disciplines, including: Hematology: Complete Blood Count (CBC), blood film examination, coagulation tests. Clinical Chemistry: Blood glucose, lipid profiles, liver function tests, kidney function tests, electrolyte analysis. Microbiology: Culture and sensitivity testing, Gram staining. Urinalysis: Physical, chemical, and microscopic examination of urine. Serology/Immunology: ELISA, rapid diagnostic tests. Histopathology/Cytology (if applicable): Assisting with tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and slide staining.
