Ensuring samples are correctly stored and prepared for analysis, including centrifugation, aliquoting, and slide preparation. Specimen Testing and Analysis: Performing a wide range of laboratory tests in various disciplines, including: Hematology: Complete Blood Count (CBC), blood film examination, coagulation tests. Clinical Chemistry: Blood glucose, lipid profiles, liver function tests, kidney function tests, electrolyte analysis. Microbiology: Culture and sensitivity testing, Gram staining. Urinalysis: Physical, chemical, and microscopic examination of urine. Serology/Immunology: ELISA, rapid diagnostic tests. Histopathology/Cytology (if applicable): Assisting with tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and slide staining. Operating and maintaining sophisticated laboratory equipment and automated analyzers (e.g., hematology analyzers, chemistry analyzers, microscopes).
