Job Description

Bank Reconciliation Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Perform monthly
bank reconciliations
across multiple verticals by matching GL entries against bank statement transactions.
Extract
General Ledger trial balances
from the accounting system and ensure accurate posting to reconciliation templates.
Maintain and update the
bank reconciliation template
, including tabs for GL detail, bank statement, outstanding checks, and daily cash postings.
Use AR daily cash postings to
decode and reconcile lump sum GL entries
into individual deposits.
Track and monitor reconciliation status through centralized files, ensuring completeness, visibility, and timely follow-up.
Investigate and resolve
unmatched transactions, outstanding checks, and exceptions
with cross-functional teams (AR, Treasury, Accounting).
Ensure
timely monthly reconciliations
to support the financial close process and management reporting.
Provide clear
audit documentation
, including matched entries, outstanding items, and reconciliation notes.
Identify
process gaps and recurring issues
(e.g., access delays, manual matching challenges) and recommend improvements.
