Backend Platform Engineer (Jr)

As a Backend Platform Engineer (Junior Level), you will contribute to building and maintaining the core backend infrastructure that powers an innovative matchmaking platform. You'll work on high-concurrency APIs, scalable authentication systems, and other backend services that enable highly personalized user experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop secure, scalable authentication and identity systems, including federated login and OTP mechanisms. - Build low-latency, high-concurrency APIs for matchmaking, including caching and personalized ranking logic. - Create flexible user onboarding pipelines that support experimentation and rapid integration of new flows. - Develop systems to manage push notifications, emails, and in-app messages to increase engagement. - Build experimentation features including A/B testing, feature rollouts, and config-driven toggles to support continuous product improvement. What We're Looking For: - 3-5 years of backend development experience in high-scale environments. - Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and distributed system architecture. - Experience building or scaling microservices and working with event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ). - Exposure to machine learning infrastructure, feature stores, or real-time data pipelines is a plus. - Proficiency in backend languages such as Java, Go, or Python, with a strong focus on system design and performance.
